Compliance

Fulfilling, on the ground, what the system promises to workers. We believe that is the responsibility of anyone registered to provide support.

This page is a reference translation. The Japanese version prevails.

01Policy

Our approach

Registration is
a trust placed in us.

Registered Support Organizations are registered by the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency of Japan and provide support entrusted to them by accepting organizations. Registration is valid for five years and can be renewed. Registration details are published in a registry that anyone can check.

Office Ray provides support in accordance with the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act; the Ministerial Order to Provide for Criteria for the Employment Contract for Specified Skilled Workers and Support Plan for Specified Skilled Workers (i); the Operational Guidelines on Accepting Specified Skilled Workers; the Operational Guidelines on Support for SSW (i) Workers; and labor laws and regulations.

02Rights

For workers' rights and lives

Knowing is
where protection begins.

In advance guidance and life orientation, we explain working conditions, the rules of daily life, and where to turn for help, in a language the worker fully understands. That support costs are not charged to the worker is also one of the points we explain.

Passports and residence cards stay in the worker’s hands

Workers keep and manage their own passports and residence cards.

Contracts free of deposits and penalty fees

The law prohibits collecting deposits from workers or their families, and entering into contracts that set penalty fees.

The accepting organization covers support costs

Support costs are borne by the accepting organization. The worker does not bear them, either directly or indirectly.

Consultation in a language the worker understands

We accept consultations about work and daily life in a language the worker fully understands.

03Consultation

Where to get help

In life orientation, we tell workers about public consultation services as well as Office Ray’s own contact point.
